About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Placement RN to join our team at Providence St. Peter Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for high-level assessment and quick initiation of level of care decisions for patients waiting for placement in an inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their level of care needs
  • Collaborate with other departmental staff to divert patients to more appropriate levels of care from the Emergency Department
  • Ensure accurate admission status and effective decision-making
  • Coordinate functions associated with level of care determination and placement
  • Collaborate with pre-admission care coordinators, physicians, nursing staff, and other multidisciplinary team staff to define and achieve optimal placement outcomes
Requirements
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • 3 years of experience in an acute care setting
  • Clinical experience sufficient to understand and communicate medical diagnoses and courses of treatment to professional and nonprofessional personnel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
