Pharmacy Technician

At Sam's Club, we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the pharmacist in the prescription fulfillment process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing prescriptions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting patients with their medication needs. You will also be required to maintain a clean and organized pharmacy area, restock shelves, and perform other tasks as needed.

1. Process prescriptions, including counting, pouring, measuring, or weighing medication tablets, liquids, and creams.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and dosing instructions.
3. Assist patients with their medication needs, including answering questions and providing education on medication usage.
4. Restock shelves, maintain a clean and organized pharmacy area, and perform other tasks as needed.
5. Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
