What We Provide for Educators:

Oakland Unified has secured significant funding to support pathway programs, including tuition and debt relief for selected middle school educators and Special Education instructors. We are dedicated to fostering and maintaining supportive spaces for educators that promote retention and socio-emotional well-being. Our extensive professional development and training programs equip teachers with innovative curricula, ongoing mentoring, and opportunities for advancement. Educators also benefit from collaborative Professional Learning Communities within and across schools in the District.

  • Competitive salaries based on experience, educational qualifications, and credentials
  • Recognition of up to twelve years of full-time teaching experience in other educational settings on the salary schedule

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree, be eligible for employment in the United States, and pass a criminal background check. Candidates should hold, or be willing to obtain, a California teaching credential that authorizes instruction in core subjects.
