Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Vertis Therapy. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in a supportive and patient-centered environment.

About the Job

This is a consistent PRN role offering flexible scheduling. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients who require 1:1 treatments and will be able to adapt to changing situations while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders, utilizing therapeutic procedures to address deficits in self-care skills and daily living abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, containing achievable functional goals.
  • Record patient progress in the patient record every seven days, revising treatment plans as needed throughout the treatment process.
  • Instruct assistants in treatment procedures and provide close supervision while they work with patients.
  • Orient patients to program services and treatment procedures, informing them of any potential risks during procedures.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with five years of direct practice experience.
  • Current licensure/certification in the state of practice.
  • Preferential registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
  • Demonstrated competency in applying principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in occupational therapy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adequate computer skills to complete required job duties and computerized documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive plans of care.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
