Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at WVUHS Home Care, LLC. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and regain independence.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, and treating patients with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' physical and emotional abilities to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on how to perform daily activities and maintain independence
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of West Virginia or neighboring state
  • Registered by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
  • Valid driver's license and minimum auto insurance
  • CPR certification within 30 days of hire date
Working Environment:

The Occupational Therapist will work in a variety of settings, including patients' homes, clinics, and hospitals. You will be exposed to bodily fluids, human tissues, contagious diseases, sharps, and explosive gases. You must be able to lift, move, and position patients of all weights with varying amounts of assistance required.
