Job Overview

A leading food manufacturing company in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician with a competitive pay rate of up to $49/hr (paid weekly).

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and upkeep of electrical and electronic components on various production machinery and equipment, as well as the electrical infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all relevant safety and quality regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures, GMP, HACCP, allergen management, and company-specific policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are in good working condition; report any defective materials or tools to the supervisor.
  • Complete necessary documentation, such as production data sheets and order forms, accurately and timely.
  • Perform electrical tasks, including running new wiring, bending conduit, installing switches, conducting electronic tests, cleaning contacts or circuit boards, and replacing worn components.
  • Assemble, install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring and equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operations; diagnose malfunctioning systems and implement repairs promptly.
  • Execute mechanical skills involving troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Document all maintenance activities to ensure accurate records and improve communication regarding equipment status.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Strong electrical aptitude.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing control systems.
  • Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Allen Bradley Rockwell hardware.
  • Forklift operation experience.

Available Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: 2 PM - 10 PM, Tuesday - Saturday
  • 3rd Shift: 10 PM - 6 AM, Tuesday - Saturday
