Career Opportunity:

We are seeking an accomplished cinematography instructor to teach students at Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts. As a key member of our faculty, you will provide expert instruction in cinematography techniques, lighting, and camera operation, helping students develop their skills in visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement curricula that incorporate current industry trends and best practices.
  • Support students in all phases of film production, from pre-production to post-production, offering guidance on camera angles, shot composition, and lighting design.
  • Maintain and manage cinematography equipment, ensuring it is available, functional, and safe.
  • Oversee student shoots, providing technical support, feedback, and mentorship to help students achieve their best work.
Requirements:
  • MFA in Motion Picture Arts or above.
  • At least 10+ years of professional experience in cinematography, camera operation, or related fields.
  • Strong teaching or mentoring experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your exceptional cinematographic skills and creative visual storytelling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
