DSHS BHA Registered Nurse 4 Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse 4 to join our team at the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). As a key member of our Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) team, you will play a critical role in leading and directing inpatient hospital nursing services, nursing staff development and training, and infection control services.
Key Responsibilities- Assign patient care tasks and ensure adherence to healthcare facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development of healthcare services and policies, and collaborate with other departments to integrate nursing services with overall patient care.
- Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and implement quality control protocols to maintain high standards of care.
- Manage the budget for the nursing department supplies, approve expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Conduct performance reviews and address any disciplinary issues, and facilitate professional development and training of nursing staff.
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and four years of professional nursing experience, including two years in a lead capacity over other nursing personnel.
- One year of full-time experience teaching nursing may be substituted for one year of supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher degree involving major study in nursing may be substituted for two years of nonsupervisory experience.
- ANCC certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of hospital, state, federal regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
- Master's degree or higher level in nursing is preferred.
