Heatset Creeler

Job Summary:

The primary objective of the Heatset Creeler is to ensure the Heatset machine is properly replenished with yarn packages for heat setting. This involves monitoring and patrolling the running of the machine to guarantee optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety protocols, plant guidelines, and quality standards.
• Secure and load yarn packages onto the Heatset creel, verifying each package's specifications.
• Inspect every yarn tube before placement, confirming it matches the description on the spec sheet.
• Verify the quality of each yarn tube against the specified requirements.
• Apply tube caps as necessary, in accordance with the spec sheet.
• Air Splice the package lead end to the tail of the running end package.
• Regularly inspect the thread path, correcting any crossings immediately.
• Check tensioners for slubs and chokes, ensuring optimal tension for run ability.
• Maintain a clean work area and assignment each shift.

Performance Expectations:

• Effectively follow printed and spoken instructions and specifications.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Hand dexterity to handle packages and operate splicer or tie weavers' knots as specified.
• Ability to lift and place numerous 12-20 lb. packages per shift.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and write instructions effectively.
• Effective communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Overtime may be required on occasion.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Immediate reporting of all accidents is mandatory.
