Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and courteous Host or Hostess to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Portland. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring seamless dining experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and determine the number in their party, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, and providing any necessary assistance throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of work areas, adhering to our strict clean-as-you-go procedures.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and the well-being of guests, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Follow all company and safety policies, reporting any incidents or concerns to management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior work experience necessary, but a passion for delivering exceptional guest service is essential.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
