About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Police Corporal to join our team at GeorgiaGov. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of senior security personnel, you will patrol and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules.
  • You will secure and protect the facility in case of fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events.
  • You will write reports of daily activities and irregularities, and warn persons of rule infractions or violations.
  • You will respond to fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events, and patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
  • You will monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against and maintain security of premises.
  • You will inspect assigned areas for fire or environmental hazards, and escort or drive motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations.
  • You will answer alarms and investigate disturbances, and maintain appropriate logs of daily activities and irregularities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous law enforcement experience
  • Peace Officer Certified or eligible
  • Customer service oriented, clerical, and admin skills a plus
  • Experience writing reports
  • Valid Georgia Driver License
