We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Avera Mary House Long Term Care. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily rounds and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide professional nursing care to residents, adapting to patient census and staffing needs.
- Administer medications, including IV medications, and chart patient information.
- Use restraints as necessary, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Obtain specimens for lab tests as ordered and take and record vital signs.
- Monitor seriously ill residents and notify the attending physician and next-of-kin of any changes in condition.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of SD.
- Participate in educational conferences and updates to maintain current professional clinical competency.
- Complete BLS within 6 months of start date and maintain certification.
- Attend all mandatory departmental meetings and in-services.
Varied shifts as needed, including PRN.
CompensationThe hourly range for this position is $25.25 - $36.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
