Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our interdisciplinary team at the University of Georgia. The successful candidate will work with engineers, geologists, and other scientists to co-develop and implement research on the economic, ecological, and social impacts related to groundwater along the Georgia coastal region.

About the College/Unit/Department
The Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems (IRIS) is a research group at the University of Georgia that focuses on developing innovative solutions for resilient infrastructure systems. Our team includes researchers from over a dozen disciplines, and we work together to advance our understanding of the complex relationships between natural and conventional infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Work with an interdisciplinary team to co-develop and implement research on the economic, ecological, and social impacts related to groundwater along the Georgia coastal region.
- Participate in community outreach activities along the Georgia coastal region.
- Support and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
- Co-author journal manuscripts, research reports, and other written materials.
- Communicate regularly with project PIs regarding research and other issues relevant to the operation of the laboratory.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as engineering, geology, or environmental science. They will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
