Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator

Ryder is seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team in Joliet, Illinois. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move materials and products within our warehouse.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse
  • Read and interpret Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
  • Recognize and correct potential process errors before they affect the customer
  • Pull orders accurately as assigned
  • Stage orders according to carrier location and verify the number of pallets picked and stage location
  • Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation to maintain product accountability
  • Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
  • May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required
  • Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to input data into a computer system
  • Work overtime as assigned

  • Hourly pay $21.00 per hour
  • Additional pay $1.00 per hour working 2nd shift
  • Overtime pay $31.50 per hour
