Key Responsibilities
  • Admission Process: Participate in the admission process of prospective residents, assessing their nursing needs and determining their appropriate placement.
  • MDS Process: Complete and ensure the accuracy of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process for all residents, maintaining current working knowledge of Medicare criteria.
  • Case Mix Index (CMI) Monitoring: Monitor CMI scores, identifying potential risks and changes that may affect Medicaid reimbursement.
  • Problem-Solving: Facilitate problem-solving for complicated admissions, ensuring accurate and timely submission of Medicare assessments and nursing documentation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations, serving as a resource for nursing staff and communicating changes in regulations.
Requirements
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster
  • Current and valid California State Nursing License
  • Exceptional mathematical skills and ability to apply them to tasks such as analysis of variance and sampling theory
  • Deep medical terminology knowledge
  • Experience in a clinical and healthcare setting preferred
  • Demonstrable knowledge of state and federal regulations
Compensation

$34 - $35 per hour, depending on factors such as location, work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
