Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Perform treatment under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist for patients with mobility and activities of daily living deficits.
  • Monitor and document every therapy encounter, identifying any adverse responses or follow-ups, and reporting tolerance and progress of therapy interventions in the medical record.
  • Responsible for performing patient screenings and delivering recommendations to the supervising occupational therapist for securing necessary supplies for treatment.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Rehab team.
  • Accountable for delivering quality services and promoting a positive image of the department.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
  • Physical Therapy Assistant License issued by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in an Acute, Inpatient Rehab, or Outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Must be able to work 2 weekends a month.
