About the Role
This Child and Family Mental Health Specialist will be part of our Eating Disorders Center team, providing evidence-based treatment to adolescents and their caregivers. The successful candidate will provide both individual and family therapy for patients diagnosed with eating disorders, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Therapy Service Provision and Documentation: The Child and Family Mental Health Specialist will provide evidence-based mental health treatments to patients and families within the clinical area they are assigned.
- Case Management and Collaboration: The Child and Family Mental Health Specialist will maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships, including referral sources, service providers, community mental health providers, and care team members.
- Professional Development: This Child and Family Mental Health Specialist will demonstrate active involvement and leadership within the team, department, and hospital by regular attendance at meetings and educational opportunities, serving as a consultant for other members of the department and hospital, participation on committees, and responding to hospital and/or community requests for educational programs.
Requirements
- Master's Degree and 1-2 years' experience: The successful candidate must have a Master's Degree and 1-2 years' experience in a related field, with a strong background in providing therapy to adolescents and their families.
- Licensure: The Child and Family Mental Health Specialist must be licensed as a social worker (LSCSW) or professional counselor (LPC/LCPC) in the state of primary work location upon hire and then be dually licensed in both states within 90 days of employment.
