  • SIGN-ON BONUS OF $7,500 FOR FULL-TIME HIRES
  • Competitive Starting Salary
  • Supervise all direct wound care procedures to ensure consistency in practices
  • Identify, plan, implement, and assess skin care for residents
  • Manage and treat specific dermatological conditions
  • Coordinate weekly skin assessments
  • Conduct evaluation assessments using techniques such as observation and inspection
  • Collaborate with the Care Planning Team to develop care plans
  • Provide treatment for skin conditions following established wound care protocols
  • Monitor preventive measures such as regular inspections, turning, and positioning
  • Mentor new nurses and demonstrate procedures to new nursing staff
  • Order and track the usage of supplies and equipment for prevention and treatment
  • Assist in modifying treatment plans to meet residents' needs, adhering to established medical practices, regulatory guidelines, and facility policies
  • Educate residents and caregivers on prevention techniques and ways to enhance overall health and psychosocial well-being
  • Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives as assigned, such as wound care and nutrition committees
  • Engage in planning and conducting in-service training sessions focused on dermatological nursing skills and procedures used within the facility
  • Adhere to the standards outlined in FutureCare Health's Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
Qualifications

  • Must possess an active RN license issued in the state of Maryland
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Must hold an active certification in wound care
  • Experience in skin care for residents in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
  • Proven leadership abilities to ensure smooth operations and quality resident care
  • Strong communication skills to promote positive interpersonal interactions
  • Ability to engage with others in a respectful, helpful, and courteous manner
