Job Summary:

The Lead Cleaner position at ABM is a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas. As a Lead Cleaner, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks, ensuring that facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities, performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
  • Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
  • Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
  • Provides leadership and direction to team members.
  • Relays communication between team members, client, customers, and management.
  • Reports performance issues to the Supervisor.
  • Assists with the training of cleaning team.
  • Coordinates work assignments.
  • Assists with making daily and weekly work schedules.
  • Oversees and performs cleaning operations in assigned building.
  • Manages security of keys and access cards for the property.
  • Reports work orders for maintenance.
  • Makes sure premises are secured at all times.
  • Works with Manager to schedule jobs with Property Manager and cleaning crew to complete the work.
  • Oversees quality of jobs and confirms completion with Manager.
  • Provides training to all new hires assigned to the building.
  • Checks supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
  • Completes order forms completely and accurately.
  • Coordinates equipment usage and inventories.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • One (1) year of similar work experience.
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience.
