Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, collaborating with healthcare colleagues to understand patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Design and implement customized exercise programs to enhance strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination, promoting functional independence and pain management.
- Utilize a variety of hands-on techniques, including joint mobilization, soft tissue manipulation, and manual stretching, to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold therapy to facilitate healing and alleviate discomfort.
- Educate patients and families on their conditions, treatment plans, and strategies for injury prevention, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery process.
- Continuously assess and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Physical Therapy State license.
- CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross (with AED).
