WellPower Vocational Trainee Work Experience

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vocational Trainee to join our team at WellPower. As a Vocational Trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in customer service, inventory management, and community support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our community members, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the receipt, storage, and distribution of food and other essential items, ensuring that our inventory is accurately tracked and maintained.
  • Community Support: Support our community members in finding the resources they need, providing information and guidance on our services and programs.
Learning Objectives:
  • Develop Professional Communication Skills: Learn to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and community members, using active listening and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and issues.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Understand the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy environment for yourself and others, reporting any safety concerns or hazards to your supervisor.
  • Uphold Ethical Standards: Learn to uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity in your work, ensuring that our community members receive fair and respectful treatment.
Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Training and Development: Complete a 1-3 month training program, followed by a 2-4 month period of proficiency development, and a 6-9 month completion of vocational employment.
