Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at DFS Group Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping and facility maintenance at our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Facility Standards
    • Ensure that all facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained to provide a comfortable and secure environment for customers and employees.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or housekeeping issues.
  • Perform Maintenance Tasks
    • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
    • Assist the facilities electrician with electrical repairs and maintenance.
    • Perform janitorial tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and equipment.
  • Manage Supplies and Equipment
    • Assist management in tracking and ordering housekeeping and maintenance supplies.
    • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work Safely and Efficiently
    • Comply with all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Work efficiently to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Possess a High School diploma or technical school degree.
    • 2-3 years' experience in commercial facilities maintenance preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and materials handling equipment.
    • Certified to operate a forklift as per location's requirement.
    • Able to climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
    • Able to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required by the needs of the business.

    • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
