VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team in Colorado. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients, as well as psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of those inmates referred by the medical and clinical services staff.
- Provide written summaries of history, diagnosis, and treatment course.
- Provide psychiatric services for inpatients, assessment, diagnosis, staffing, treatment planning, and regular review of all inmates assigned.
- Provide psychiatric services for those inmates who need to be transferred to Behavioral Health facilities, including work up and any court hearing testimony needed.
- Act as regular Psychiatrist and participate in the treatment programming and planning for the Behavioral Health Unit, including regular staffing and contact with Behavioral Health Unit staff and supervisor, discussion of problem cases, follow up and monitoring of medication, and general psychiatric input.
- Provide medication management to all inmates admitted.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy as appropriate.
- Approve, sign, and monitor the implementation and efficiency of treatment plans.
- Approve all admissions and discharges into the Behavioral Health Unit.
- Provide inservice education to the site staff as needed.
- Attend training and meetings as required.
- Must be a graduate of medical school and have completed an appropriate psychiatric residency.
- Must be licensed to practice in the state of Colorado.
- Current DEA number.
