Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Enterostomal Therapist to join our Inpatient Wound Care team at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert care to patients with select disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide acute and rehabilitative care to patients with ostomies, wounds, and skin care needs
- Interpret general policies, procedures, and instructions to formulate methods and procedures
- Promote patient safety and well-being through the nursing process
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or above required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
- 4 years acute care nursing experience; at least 1 year of RN experience
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Graduate of an 8-week accredited school of Enterostomal Therapy
- Certification as an Enterostomal Therapist by the WOCN (Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing)
