Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterostomal Therapist to join our Inpatient Wound Care team at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert care to patients with select disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide acute and rehabilitative care to patients with ostomies, wounds, and skin care needs
  • Interpret general policies, procedures, and instructions to formulate methods and procedures
  • Promote patient safety and well-being through the nursing process
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or above required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • 4 years acute care nursing experience; at least 1 year of RN experience
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an 8-week accredited school of Enterostomal Therapy
  • Certification as an Enterostomal Therapist by the WOCN (Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing)
