Job Opportunity

Ocean Smiles is seeking a part-time dental hygienist to join our team. Our office is a four-dentist practice with state-of-the-art equipment and a growing patient base. This role could lead to a full-time position. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring patient comfort and relaxation before examinations
  • Properly sterilizing dental instruments
  • Conducting initial mouth screenings and reviewing oral health history
  • Identifying conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
  • Cleaning and protecting patients' teeth (e.g., removing plaque or applying fluoride)
  • Educating patients of all ages on proper oral care techniques
  • Providing instructions to patients after procedures or operations
  • Taking X-rays or dental impressions
  • Maintaining accurate patient documentation and charts

Proficiency in OpenDental/Dentrix software is a plus. The ideal candidate should be able to use a computer and understand insurance requirements.
