Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Order Assembly Picker/Loader to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate assembly of orders, as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pull products for customer orders and accurately mark paperwork for adjustments
  • Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment, as certified
  • Use hand-held tracking devices to track inventory and orders
  • Keep accurate records on load sheets, inventory sheets, and scrap sheets
  • Ensure proper code date rotation and report any product/packaging issues
  • Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees to ensure efficient production
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
Requirements:
  • 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Minimum 6 months of recent experience operating a forklift in a high-efficiency environment
  • Forklift Operator Certification required
  • Ability to sit and/or stand and drive for virtually the entire shift
  • Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred
  • Ability to work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
  • May have exposure to allergens
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
