Job Title: Medical Review Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Review Officer to join our team at Leidos QTC Health Services. As a Medical Review Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of medical examinations and determinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of medical examination results to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory guidelines.
  • Apply nuanced understanding of exam results to render high-quality medical determinations regarding job position eligibility, medical surveillance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills to ensure accurate and timely determinations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of contract guidelines, requirements, and addendums.
  • Collaborate with exam management teams to ensure efficient processing of medical determinations.
  • Communicate exam results and medical determinations to clients in support of occupational health business needs.
  • Assist in formulating, documenting, and implementing guidelines dictated by medical directives and contractual or regulatory updates.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner, adhering to corporate safety policies and participating in safety meetings and training.
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
  • Board certification in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Minimum 5 years of outpatient clinical practice experience, including standard office-based diagnostic testing.
  • Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as MS Office products.
  • Strong analytical ability to research and interpret detailed medical information and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Valid BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Ability to earn and maintain clinical training/certifications as required by current and future contracts/customers.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain Government clearances (LARS/Public Trust Clearance, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MRO Certification.
  • Experience with dictation equipment and federally regulated medical examinations.
  • Active government clearance strongly desired.
  • Military background strongly preferred.
