The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production support group, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize spare parts inventory using CMMS/SAP systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Conduct minor welding and fabrication tasks for equipment upkeep.
- Perform general facility maintenance and routine preventive care on equipment such as blowers, airlocks, valves, sifters, and dust collectors.
- Packaging machines, code printers, and case packers.
- Air compressors, pneumatic systems, and other essential support equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols, maintain hazard-free work areas, and ensure compliance with GMP standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a self-directed and efficient work environment.
- Communicate effectively across departments to support production goals.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrate good communication skills and be able to understand and interpret equipment training manuals and drawings.
- Demonstrate good math skills.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Possess a solid mechanical aptitude combined with technical training and/or the equivalent in manufacturing experience (preferably in food manufacturing).
- Demonstrate creative troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of electrical distribution and control circuits.
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of PLC theory and programming.
- Advanced working knowledge of the following support equipment: Air compressors and pneumatic systems, Pneumatic conveying theory and related systems, Pasta drying instrumentation.
- Understand proficiently in the operation of the following shop equipment: Drill press, Hydraulic press, Milling machine, Lathe, Grinders, band saws and other related hand tools.
- Advanced maintenance welding including: AC/DC stick, Tig, Mig, Gas Acetylene.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted; periodically lift up to 100 lbs.
