Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dock Worker to join our team at Dayton Freight. As a Dock Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload freight in a productive, safe, and claims-free manner, maximizing space when loading freight.
  • Complete pre and post-trip inspections on all dock equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Properly document all freight control processes to maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in Dayton Freight's training and improvement programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts, and/or assignments to meet the needs of the business.
  • Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic math skills are required for accurate calculations and record-keeping.
  • Fluency in English is necessary for effective communication and documentation.
  • Able to pass a drug screen to ensure a safe working environment.
