Production Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at E. A. Sween Company. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production line activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage production line activities to meet production goals and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols.
  • Lead and develop a team of production associates, providing coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze production performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of production data and metrics.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment, preferably in food manufacturing or clean room environments.
  • Previous quality control experience and knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, and HACCP protocols.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • Experience supervising employees from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The Production Supervisor will be required to work in a fast-paced production environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The ability to work in cool conditions (up to 50 degrees) for up to 20% of the time is also required.
