MRI Technologist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate magnetic resonance scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Select and implement appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to ensure accurate and efficient exams.
  • Receive and prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures and positioning them for optimal imaging.
  • Administer IV contrast agents when necessary and perform IV punctures as required.
  • Independently perform and complete routine examinations, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Current ARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • At least one year of experience as a MRI Technologist in a hospital environment (preferred).
