Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the culinary management team to develop innovative menu offerings for both à la carte and banquet services.
- Design daily specials that showcase creativity and effectively utilize available ingredients.
- Craft visually appealing and thematic presentations for events, including intricate food displays.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and presented to meet our quality standards, guaranteeing guest satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, assisting in recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the training of cooks in recipe adherence and plating techniques.
- Ensure all kitchen staff maintain high sanitation and safety standards.
- Utilize large kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
- Assist in managing inventory and purchasing to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Address guest requests and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Participate in maintaining internal controls for the culinary department.
- Support the Executive Chef in enhancing the skills of kitchen personnel through ongoing training initiatives.
- Set up and dismantle buffet stations for special events.
- Work collaboratively with service staff to enhance food service efficiency.
- Engage in pre-service meetings to foster effective communication with front-of-house teams.
- Contribute to achieving financial goals for the Food & Beverage department.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
In this role, you will be required to stand, walk, and use your hands frequently. The ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds is essential.
