Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Principal Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Becker Morgan. This role is responsible for leading structural engineering projects, ensuring that they meet safety, sustainability, and quality standards.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with experience in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various types of structures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using software such as AutoCAD and Revit, and will have excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Design and Analysis: Conduct detailed structural analysis and design for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
  • Material Selection: Recommend suitable materials based on project specifications and environmental factors.
  • Structural Calculations: Perform calculations to determine loads, pressures, and stresses on structural components.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in design, analysis, and project management.
  • Proficiency in using software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites using your personal vehicle.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $140,000 per year, based on education and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, vision, and dental insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and term life insurance, we also offer paid parking, three weeks of paid vacation, paid holidays, performance bonuses, flexible schedule, and professional and educational allowances.
