Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Culinary Team Member is responsible for preparing meals in accordance with all relevant sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards while adhering to established food production recipes and procedures. This role involves the effective use of kitchen supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and injury.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Collaborating within a team environment to ensure effective teamwork Preparing all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures within designated timeframes Prepping assigned items related to the designated station; ensuring ingredient freshness; labeling prepped items with the name, date, time, and preparer's initials Cooking raw and prepped foods through grilling, sautéing, deep-frying, baking, and broiling Adhering to established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health protocols; observing proper food preparation and handling techniques Measuring and assembling ingredients and cooking items according to recipes and menu specifications Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe cooking line; returning ingredients to storage after use to ensure freshness Following safety data sheets for proper guidelines on chemical and sanitation product usage Stocking and restocking items on the cooking line according to specifications Washing and cleaning raw food products Peeling, dicing, shredding, and slicing food products using manual and automatic equipment Taking pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean attire; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as per company policy Displaying integrity and honesty in all aspects of employment Performing additional duties as directedQualifications

The team member is occasionally exposed to hazards including, but not limited to cuts from knives, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns; frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, extreme cold; frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items and frequent washing of hands. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
