The Healthcare Access Coordinator (HAC) is essential in enhancing the patient and family journey, acting as the first point of interaction within our healthcare system. The responsibilities include ensuring precise information collection, effectively communicating patient obligations, and confirming accurate patient identification, all of which are crucial for the financial and operational efficiency of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients warmly and address them by name in a respectful and professional manner.
- Resolve patient inquiries and concerns with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Adapt to evolving work environments and meet shift requirements.
- Handle challenging customer interactions with poise.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Experience in customer service.
- Relevant experience in Revenue Cycle.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably EPIC.
- Any necessary certifications for the role.
