Job Overview

Thompson First Group is actively seeking a skilled Boiler Technician to support a client in the industrial sector. Ideal candidates will possess experience in operating boilers within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute startup, operational, and shutdown protocols for all boiler systems.
  • Manage the operation of steam boilers, conducting routine tests and inspections, including water sampling and boiler blowdowns.
  • Oversee air compressor operations and related equipment to ensure the provision of dry, oil-free air.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on utility system apparatus such as boilers, condensate pumps, and feed water pumps.
  • Regularly monitor and record utility meter readings.
  • Supervise the condensate return system to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Exhibit professionalism at all times.
  • Report any irregularities to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a boiler technician, including general utility maintenance.
  • Mechanical skills with a background in troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing pumps and motors associated with boiler systems.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
