Job Summary
The role involves executing professional responsibilities in the development, organization, administration, and assessment of designated programs and services. The incumbent will provide expert guidance and technical support to program staff, various departments, community members, and participants. This position may involve the coordination of specialized programs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The perfect candidate will deliver nutritional services on behalf of Hillsborough County Health Care Services, which encompasses:
- Nutrition counseling
- Educational outreach
- Menu planning
- Creation of educational resources.
This individual should possess a keen attention to detail, demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, and showcase effective training and communication skills. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an ACEND-accredited program is required.
The candidate must be proficient in both English and Spanish, capable of motivating individuals to adopt healthier choices and lifestyle modifications. Experience in teaching or training both individuals and groups is essential.
Work Locations
This position will primarily operate in various community resource centers, necessitating reliable transportation to multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, organize, and evaluate work processes to ensure efficient program service delivery.
- Conduct needs assessments and data analysis to support grant applications for funding.
- Interpret and clarify policies, regulations, and guidelines relevant to assigned programs.
- Coordinate activities across various organizational entities, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
- Review program operations for compliance, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and recommending improvements.
- Provide training and presentations for individuals and groups.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and program staff.
- Conduct surveys to gather feedback on program services and customer satisfaction.
- Address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
Job Specifications
Knowledge of the functions and services provided by assigned programs, as well as applicable laws and regulations. Ability to plan, organize, and supervise staff effectively, communicate clearly, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
This role is primarily sedentary, with occasional light physical demands.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification, along with a degree from an accredited institution and relevant experience.
Emergency Management Responsibilities
In case of emergencies, employees may be required to fulfill duties as assigned by their department or relevant authorities.
