Position Summary:

This role transcends basic data entry and tax preparation; it focuses on cultivating essential technical expertise and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of tax returns for individuals, trusts, and various business entities;
  • Conducting research and addressing intricate tax matters;
  • Maintaining precise and current client documentation;
  • Ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and fulfilling state and federal tax responsibilities;
  • Reviewing financial documents, income statements, and expenditures for clients.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a Tax Department of a Public Accounting firm or equivalent tax experience;
  • Experience in preparing tax returns for individuals, trusts, and various business types;
  • Certified Public Accountant license is preferred, or on the path to obtaining CPA certification;
  • Proficient in researching and articulating complex tax issues;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
  • Willingness to engage directly with clients while delivering high-quality service and fostering positive client relationships.

Technical Proficiency:

The Senior Tax Consultant should be adept in the following software or similar tools:

  • Ultra Tax
  • Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Engagement Manager software
  • Checkpoint or other tax research applications
