About the Role

Nucor Rebar Fabrication is seeking a skilled Rebar Drafter/Detailer to join our team in the Houston, TX branch. As a leading fabricator, installer, and distributor of concrete reinforcing steel and related products, we prioritize safety and teamwork in everything we do.

This is an in-office position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry reference materials, such as CRSI and ACI manuals, and be able to develop knowledge of these resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detail commercial and civil projects related to the supply and installation of rebar
  • Verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information
  • Work with job site personnel to determine project requirements for detailing and delivery of material
  • Produce material lists for all products from RebarCAD and prepare replacement orders as required
  • Enter all drawings for submission into the drawing tracking system
Requirements
  • Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting or equivalent combination of training and work experience
  • At least one year of experience detailing rebar using a CAD-based detailing system
  • Strong understanding of industry reference materials, such as CRSI and ACI manuals
