Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Drama Instructor to join our team at Houston Community College (HCC). As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of drama and theatre arts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of drama and theatre arts courses, including acting, directing, playwriting, and theatre history.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with HCC's academic standards and goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in the development of their skills and knowledge in drama and theatre arts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental and college-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide service activities, including committee work and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • MFA or Master's degree in Theatre Arts or a related field.
  • At least one year of college-level teaching experience.
  • Experience with digital image files and technology integration in the classroom.
  • Ability to teach a diverse student population and adapt to changing curriculum needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
