Job Opportunity

Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Scrub Technician to join our Surgical Services Department in Lexington, KY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
  • Prepare and organize the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Provide surgeons and patients with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Count and verify surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Inspect, replace, and sterilize medical instruments.
  • Adhere to OSHA guidelines, safety, and infection control policies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience working in an Operating Room as a Surgical Scrub Technician (2 years preferred).
  • Completion of a surgical technician course.
  • Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center is preferred.
  • Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred.
