About the Team
The UI Platform team plays a crucial role in boosting the productivity of our UI engineers by offering essential libraries and foundational elements necessary for creating intuitive, high-performance, secure, and cohesive product experiences.
Our objective is to empower our Product Experience teams to accelerate their workflows while maintaining high standards of quality.
We oversee various domains, including:
- UI component libraries
- Design systems
- Testing frameworks
- Frontend observability
- Horizontal experiences
In essence, we manage the UI infrastructure, allowing product teams at Snowflake to concentrate on crafting exceptional user experiences and deploying confidently.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate with our UI Platform team to define, implement, and deliver initiatives that enhance the speed, quality, and uniformity of our user experiences. Your focus will be on:
- Improving frontend build and hot reload times to provide product engineers with rapid feedback loops, enabling swift progress even as our codebase expands.
- Enhancing frontend observability to equip developers with insights necessary for optimizing application performance and stability.
- Establishing our testing methodologies, type safety protocols, and overall strategies to elevate code and product quality.
- Developing tools that empower our developers and product teams to prototype, build, modify, test, and debug product experiences more efficiently.
- Acting as a technical resource and mentor for fellow frontend developers.
This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly influence the productivity of our extensive Product Experiences Engineering organization and contribute to our ambitious goals at Snowflake.
Who You Are
You possess:
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Solid, Svelte) and build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack/RSPack, Rollup)
- A track record of developing and maintaining tools that facilitate cross-team collaboration
- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving client-side performance challenges
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,750, with eligibility for participation in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. Starting salaries will be determined based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
