Position Overview
Job Title: Per Diem CAT Scan Technologist
Department: Imaging Services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts CT imaging procedures with a comprehensive understanding of anatomical alignment, imaging protocols, and equipment to achieve high-quality results.
- Adheres to departmental guidelines for procedures unless directed otherwise by the Radiologist.
- Ensures the production of diagnostic images of superior quality while prioritizing patient safety.
- Engages in communication with the Radiologist, confirming orders and gathering patient medical history.
- Maintains cleanliness in the CT suite and complies with infection control protocols.
- Organizes work tasks effectively and prepares patients for imaging procedures.
- Operates CT machinery in a safe manner and upholds radiation safety standards.
- Prepares and administers contrast agents as necessary.
- Experience with power injectors is advantageous.
General Duties:
- Adheres to safety regulations and performs quality control checks.
- Utilizes effective problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Participates in departmental meetings and fulfills additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Graduated from an accredited Radiology program and holds a valid license.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies and certified in BLS.
- Proficient computer skills and fluency in English are mandatory.
Per Diem Technologist Requirements:
- Availability for 4 shifts within a 6-week scheduling framework, including weekends and holidays.
- Flexibility in location based on staffing requirements.
- Responsible for shift coverage with managerial approval.
