Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of patient test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing and analysis of patient samples
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of patient test results
- Work independently to resolve technical problems and make decisions to notify management when necessary
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an appropriate biological, chemical, or physical science
- Completion of a NAACLS program
- Minimum six months experience performing laboratory testing in a clinical setting
- Pediatric experience is preferred
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent nationally recognized certifying agency
