Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Regional Health Services of Howard County. The ideal candidate will have a degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited program and a current RCP license in the state of practice.

• Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy, including arterial blood gases, vital signs, and lung function changes.
• Consult with physicians if there are adverse reactions.
• Set up and operate devices such as therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators.
• Provide emergency care, including external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, or assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Maintain charts that contain patient identification and therapy information.

• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program or technical college course for respiratory therapy.
• Current RCP license in the state of practice.
• Respiratory care, emergency care, and intensive care experience.
• Valid and current driver's license and auto insurance.
• Current BLS and/or CPR and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
