Residential Maintenance Specialist

The Maintenance Technician is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the overall physical condition of our communities and delivering exceptional service to our residents. This role involves diagnosing maintenance issues, making necessary repairs, and completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee maintenance activities and supervise general maintenance engineers and technicians
- Ensure the general maintenance and orderliness of property, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities, and lighting systems
- Direct mechanics, technicians, and outside contractors on assigned projects
- Control inventory of parts and equipment
- Coordinate all maintenance-related activities
- Ensure the successful execution of company safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Deliver the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive, and professional interactions
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience with no certifications or 4 years' experience with EPA 608 Universal required
- Approved designations or degree/license/certification(s) in at least one of the following: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance Repair Certification, or Carpentry
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills
- Advanced knowledge in at least one of the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry
- Ability to diagnose problems and implement repairs
- Ability to perform Quality Control on work and repairs completed
- Demonstrated ability to train on skill trades
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to provide guidance and training to less senior technicians
