Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team in Duluth, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing their needs and providing education on the imaging process.
  • Perform radiographic and/or fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
  • Operate computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images, adhering to quality control measures to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Enter and complete patient information, including exam charges and supplies, into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and/or other KP applications.
  • Prepare films for interpretation by radiologists in a timely and accurate manner, communicating abnormal situations to proper sources for resolution and tracking.
  • Engage with healthcare providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care, adhering to department procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Practice safety measures in radiography, following universal precautions, infection control guidelines, and sterile technique.
  • Stock and clean exam rooms and work areas, taking rotational call for after-hours facilities and being responsible for coverage if unable to take call.
  • May be responsible for clinical instruction of student technologists, applying the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Radiologic Technologist certification.
  • General knowledge of EH&S, OSHA, DHR, Radiation Safety and Protection.
  • General knowledge of exam protocols.
  • Basic PC skills, including keyboarding and navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
