Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our pulmonary clinic, you will provide clinical support to medical providers and patients, ensuring exceptional care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Triage patient and referring physician phone calls, providing timely and accurate responses.
- Room patients in exam rooms, take vital signs, collect and document pertinent patient information, and conduct tests as needed.
- Provide patient equipment and education on pulmonary diseases, sleep disorders, testing, treatments, and behavior modification.
- Coordinate care with other providers, including DME providers, diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation services.
- Support clinical activities, such as meeting with CPAP equipment representatives, maintaining supplies inventories, and checking/maintaining equipment.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- New York State Respiratory Therapist license with current registration, including credentials received prior to 9/1993.
- OR New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) license AND National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) active credentials as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Minimum 3 years respiratory therapy experience preferred.
- 1 year pulmonary function testing experience preferred.
- Pulmonary Function Technology certification preferred.
