Job Summary

The Army National Guard is seeking highly skilled Avionics Mechanics to join our team. As an Avionics Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems of aircraft are functioning properly. This includes performing operational and preventive checks and alignments on aircraft flight controls, stabilization systems, avionics, and controlled cryptographic equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on tactical communications-security, navigation, and flight control equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment using technical manuals and schematic drawings
  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, electrical connections, and the repair and/or replacement of instruments

Requirements

  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements

As an Avionics Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of electrical systems and equipment, and will be trained in the latest techniques and technologies. You will also have the opportunity to work as part of a team, and will be responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft electrical systems.
