Facility Maintenance Specialist

Welcome to Halperns' Steak & Seafood Company LLC, where we're passionate about delivering exceptional meat and seafood specialty products to our customers. As a Maintenance Technician - Equipment Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our facilities and equipment are in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain equipment and systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Schedule and perform repairs on faulty equipment, using hands and/or power tools as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized battery room and charger area, including charging and replacing batteries for material handling equipment.
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and identify causes of trouble.
  • Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts, using hoists, hands, and/or power tools as necessary.
  • Maintain equipment rooms in a neat and orderly fashion, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Follow through and complete all work orders, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of material handling equipment maintenance supplies, including ordering and stocking as needed.
  • Design, implement, and review daily operator's checklist procedures to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Log and update asset software for all maintenance and repair activities, enabling tracking and analysis of equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, including OSHA regulations.
  • Adhere to the mission and cornerstone values of Halperns' Steak & Seafood Company LLC, as well as applicable practices and policies.
  • Maintain peer relationships in the field to share knowledge, ideas, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of maintenance.
  • Ability to follow directions, standard procedures, and respond to instructions.
  • Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity, following established policies and procedures.
  • Must have ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
